| The Single Color format charts were developed to assist those patients with suppression. The normal progression of a vision therapy program is to start with monocular (patched) activities and work towards a bi-ocular (two eyes working at the same time) and eventually training binocular vision skills (two eyes fusing an image). These charts are designed to provide the Behavioral Optometrist and Vision Therapist a bridge between monocular training and binocular vision training.
A patient can wear Red/Clear or Red/Green Anaglypic Filters with the Red Filter positioned over the non-training eye. If the eye that is being trained suppresses, the images on the chart will fade.
The Charts are available in five styles and three print sizes. There are samples below which you can view. Also, I have included on this page the DIRECTIONALITY WORD PUZZLE books which complement the Single-Color Chart Series.
The Styles available consist of:
- BDPQ
- CAPITAL LETTERS
- LOWER CASE LETTERS
- NUMERICAL
- SHAPES
- ARROWS
The charts work very nicely for home therapy purposes. Each pack of charts comes with Activity Suggestions, so you can implement them into your vision therapy program quickly! We have new Fixation Fun Booklets which work with the Letters Series Charts for both Capital Letters and Lower Case Versions.
Hopefully, you will be able to find a style that suits your patient population.
